1) Girls Just Want to Have FUN!  We are planning a very exciting FEMALE ONLY fitness night on June 6th. Please keep this date open for your daughters in Grades 3-8 to attend with their significant female adult (mom, aunt, grandmother). Information will be coming in the next week for sign up. This event will be free of charge and is strictly for our girl population. Studies have shown that females are not active enough for optimal health and well-being and our goal is to introduce different activities to provide an opportunity for movement and bonding together. Stay tuned for more information!  We can't wait to see you!

2) Athletic news:

Our Grade 3,4,5 students had a great time at the Junior Relays this week!  Our teams worked hard and represented the school with pride in true Boyne spirit!  Special thanks to the grade 7 helpers who were amazing and also to the parents that were able to come and cheer us on!  We look forward to the Junior Track and Field meet in June.

Our Senior Track and Field meet has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 29th and our grade 6,7 and 8 students are busy trying out and practising during PE times as well as breaks to prepare for the excitement of the meet. More information to follow as we field all of our teams.

Our school is a busy place with grade 5 & 6 Junior Basketball at the moment. Our teams have been preparing and competing at tournaments for the past few weeks and will be wrapping up their season soon. Senior Soccer is well underway and Senior Cricket is set to go  in a few weeks!  Boyne will be hosting the very first Milton school Cricket Tournament and we are very excited to be providing this opportunity to our students. Many thanks to all the coaches who have been putting in endless hours of their time to enrich the lives of our students. Memories are made during events such as these. Thank you to the parents for your continued support of athletics at Boyne.
