Subject: Spring Fun Fair - June 13th - Message from School Council

 Dear Boyne Family:

Spring Fun Fair is on June 13th at 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm and we are so excited!

We have lots planned for this event including the following:

Bouncy castles for little kids and big kids

Carnival games

Meet and Greet with Rapunzel, Elmo, Minion, Boyne Bear

Join Ms. T and ParticipACTION for some fun games in the gym

Visit with a firetruck, police car and ambulance

Enjoy live entertainment - including a magician!

Visit our vendor tables to enjoy a mini manicure, henna, browse books, buy gifts, and more

Food Trucks: MeltdownCheesery, Empire Kitchen, Funnel Cake Dream

There is no entry fee. Wristbands are available on CashOnline for $5 each and include one popcorn (while supplies last) and unlimited use of bouncy castles and games.

We will have single use tickets for sale onsite ($2 per ticket - one ticket per ride)

Food trucks and vendors accept cash, some accept credit and debit as well.

We do need some help to make this a great event!

On Monday, May 6 we will kick off Education Week (May 6-10) by launching a system-wide social media campaign called #LoveMyHaltonSchool. The goal of the campaign is to showcase Halton District School Board spirit and celebrate Education Week by sharing the exciting activities that happen in HDSB schools every day.

Schools, staff, students, and parents/guardians are encouraged to share activities and initiatives taking place at their school (or one of our workspaces) on social media using the #LoveMyHaltonSchool hashtag.

We’ll run a #LoveMyHaltonSchool Social Media Contest on Monday, May 6. However we encourage you to continue using the hashtag on social media throughout Education Week!

To participate in the #LoveMyHaltonSchool Social Media Contest on Twitter, post (tweet) about learning/classroom activities and school initiatives using the hashtag: #LoveMyHaltonSchool on Monday, May 6.

Social media is an effective tool to provide our community with a window into learning by posting about the great things going on in classrooms and schools. Check out this video shared by Superintendent Jacqueline Newton on  Why teachers should use Twitter
